POST-NATAL CARE
Well, the painful part is now out of the way and the mother is often relieved from the burden of carrying the baby for the last few weeks. Finally, the newborn baby has been welcomed into the world and parents are overjoyed. However, the delivery can cause a certain amount of trauma, leaving the new mother exhausted and baby blues can set in.
Despite that, the mother still has to look after little one, get used to a lot of new things and sometimes breastfeed and look after older children.
It is important for the new mother to look after herself as well as the baby in that time.
Common post-natal problems:
- Post-natal depression or “baby blues”
- Lack of milk flow
- Mastitis
- Cystitis
- Fatigue
Nappy rash - Eczema
- Colic
All these conditions can all be treated using herbs rather than toxic medicines or chemicals.
